- Scan computer for DTC codes- P0171 Lean condition bank 1/ P0570 Idle issue. Vehicle is making an excessive noise from engine that sounds like a vacuum leak. Inspect vehicle for source of noise- Found Vehicle is making a whistling noise (excessive) from PCV oil trap assembly. Further inspection revealed PCV diaphragm is torn. Recommend replace PCV oil trap assembly, and re check operation (oil trap is causing a vacuum leak that can cause a lean condition, and effect idle). Vehicle inspection- No oil sticker, but customer indicates oil was recently serviced. Brakes are good, and tires are good, but recommend monitor tires for age (slight cracking). Recommend replace upper torque mount (Torn).
- Clear engine light, check operation and road test. Vehicle runs good, idles good, and no noise detected at this time. Check engine light is out at this time.
- Check operation.
