Customer has added 60 gal fuel since tank install and consumed appx 50 gal – gauge level never above 1/4, DTE has been getting longer and longer as it's re-calibrating, gauge has recently gone below 1/4 Removed fuel tank and found level sensor missing float. Installed and retested. While tank was down, we noted minor amount of debris (metal) inside tank. Cust is aware and will monitor

Road test vehicle. Lift vehicle and inspect brakes- Front brakes are worn (-1mm pad life remaining). Recommend replace front brakes w/ new pads, and rotors. Rear brake shoes are worn, and cracking. Rear wheel cylinders are leaking. Recommend replace rear brakes w/ new shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, and service rear brake drums (drums are good at this time). Rear brake drums require new spindle nuts. Vehicle is due for oil service.
Remove and replace front brakes w/ new pads, and rotors. Clean and lube contact points. Check operation.
Remove and replace rear brake shoes w/ new hardware. Replace rear wheel cylinders. Clean and lube contact points, and adjust rear brakes. Clean and service rear brake drums (not able to machine w/ sealed wheel bearing in drum). Check operation and road test. Brakes are good at this time.

Road test vehicle. Lift vehicle and inspect- Vehicle has cracks in blower belt, recommend replace belt. Vehicle will need a 60k service soon (fluids, and filters). Oil looks good, filters good, brakes and tires are good, but recommend monitor rear brakes for wear (3-4mm). Vehicle has a slight seep from oil drain plug (factory plastic plug), recommend replace drain plug next oil service, and re check for leakage. Battery is OE. Vehicle in overall good condition.

Extensive road tests and testing did duplicate shudder in 6th gear at full tcc lock up. Misfire graph doe not show counters at that time. Disabling of tcc system does eliminate shudder, pointing to internal issue with tcc or trans. There is a minor misfire counter on #3 and #4 cylinders at times, though we rec getting trans repaired first and then re evaluating this issue after. Noted oil leak at valve cover and oil smell in cab. No repairs performed at this time Noted tpms light on dash

Road test vehicle, and vehicle has lack of power. Scan computer for DTC codes- P0016 CMP/CKP correlation BK1 sensor A/ P0017 CMP/CKP correlation BK1 Sensor B/ P0019 CMP/CKP correlation BK2 sensor B/ P0172 Rich condition BK1/ P0299 turbo "A" under boost. Inspect vehicle and found both intake and exhaust cams are stuck @ + degrees indicating cam phasers are bad/ defective. Additional testing and tear down will be needed to check oil actuators and solenoids. We do suspect that there will be an oil feed issue found related to previous poor workmanship. Recommend replace timing chains w/ cam phasers and all necessary components, or replace complete motor assembly. Vehicle inspection- Front end clunks over bumps in the road. TPMS (tire pressure) light is on. Vehicle is due for front brakes (1-2mm remaining), but rear brakes are fair to good (4mm). Oil indicator (sticker) in spec (not due for oil service according to sticker). *Note* vehicle took a hit (impacted) to core support for intercooler. No repairs done at this time

*Note* TPMS light on upon arrival. Remove and replace customer supplied front shocks & adjust (clock) as needed. Check front end- good, no play detected. Check operation and road test. Send out for alignment. *Note* Customer supplied front struts (complete w/ coil overs), no warranty on parts.
Perform front and alignment w/ Camber adjustment. Alignment (w/ weight off front end) indicates slight play in outer tie rods.

Scan computer for DTC codes- P0300 multiple misfires detected /P0307 cylinder#7 misfire detected/ P0316 Misfire detected @ start up. Cleared codes, perform reset, and DTC codes returned. Scan computer for current DTC codes- P0365 CP sensor B BK1/ P0369 CP sensor B BK1/ P0390 CP sensor BK2/ P0394 CP sensor BK2/ P1639 Vehicle ID block corrupted. Run vehicle, and sounds like cam phasers intermittently sticking. Inspect vehicle and looks like vehicle has very minor signs of coolant in oil (in oil cap). Looking into engine through filler, looks like vehicle did not get frequent oil service (sludge/ contamination). Vehicle has issue w/cam phasers/timing chain. Due to age and mileage of vehicle, recommend complete motor replacement. Customer declined any repairs at this time. No repairs performed.
